The municipal art class for children, and its teacher, municipal artist in residence, Delma Acosta, lost their classroom in Hurricane Maria. The class was canceled until January, 2018 when Delma came to the MCL asking if she could use our classroom facility on Thursday afternoons from 3:00 – 5:00 PM. She and her students have been with us for almost 2 years now, including summer classes. In the picture at the right,  students from the summer class of 2019 proudly show off their versions of a sailboat in the sunset done in pastels.  Below students in the fall 2019 class work on a pastel drawing of a human head.
