Services
Public Reading Area
The public is cordially invited to enjoy our public reading area and use books and other materials in the library during our regular business hours.
Borrowing Books
Library membership is required to borrow books. For information on becoming a member of the MCL and getting your library card, click Membership.
Members borrow books for an initial period of two weeks and may renew them up to two times for an additional week. Books must be returned on time. Our late fee is $0.25 per day per book.
Help Finding and Using Library and Online Materials
The objective of the MCL is to help all of its users learn to use the resources of the library effectively; this means finding materials both in print and online. We have a very limited staff to offer such help, so please be patient and do your best to become an independent user of the library and its resources.
Adults, in particular will benefit from our help in learning how to deal with various departments of the government and access government forms online.
The MCL has 8 computers for non-recreational (academic or business) use by the public. At the moment, they are assigned on a first come first served basis for 1 hour’s use at no cost. If no one is waiting in line, a user can request more time.
Our Wi-Fi is free to the public as well.
